Activities since 1st April, 2020
(Fight against this noble epidemic)
1.
Overall activities in maintaining the supply chain in district, in neighbouring
district and in neighbouring state. No shortage of the materials and no hike in
prices. This was biggest success of RCC working.
2.
RCC with the help of State Health Department, Govt. of West Bengal and District
Administration, PaschimBardhman is regularly sanitizing the different Govt. and
non-government offices (Police station, IC offices, BDO office, Primary Health
Centres, Banks, Post Office, Ration Shops, Railway Station, Railway colony areas
and many others) along with different localities of Raniganj with adjoining
Rural and Urban areas. This is being done since 9th April and is a Huge Success.

Providing food to 40 quarantine persons in Raniganj regularly from 1st April,
2020.
4.
Providing food to needy persons as sent by different Government Agencies.
5.
Distributing masks to the needy people in different areas.
6.
Sharing all the important and relevant information with the traders and
industries of the area to empower them.
7.
Providing an ambulance service to Government Primary Health Centre for needy
patients of nearby areas since 9th April.
8.
Providing food items to Adivasi and other needy groups of nearby areas.
9.
Help Traders and General Members in getting movement pass from local PS so that
proper supply chain can be maintained and for their emergency needs.
10.
Rescue measures for some traders in their trouble situation after delivery of
their items outside town.
11.
Raising traders’ issues to different department, government level and
political levels.
12.
Guiding and helping nearby market traders (neighbouring districts) in procuring
food items & other commodities.
13.
Assisted local MSME industries to remain open and to maintain supply chain.
14.
Helped administration and different government departments in different
awareness programs to combat this epidemic disease.
15.
Initiated an online NEWS ROOM at Whatsapp where group members are getting almost
12-15 national and state level e-version newspapers (English, Hindi &
Bengali) which is very much successful.
16.
Helped the flour mills in procuring cheaper wheat from government sources so as
to maintain its supply chain.
17.
RCC raised the issue of Deposit of cash from non-home branches of banks. This
was a big relief to our traders as their outside customers can now deposit their
due amount in their account with ease(less need of visit for collection).
18.
Helped general public in their various needs in this crucial time.
19.
Collection of donation for CM and PM funds.
20.
Wrote to PM to protest against permission of online sale for non-essential
items.
21.
Wrote to DM and education department about the difficulties in admission and
issues of fees in Schools of PaschimBardhman District and suitable advisories
were issued by the department.
22.
Wrote to Chief Secretary, West Bengal for evacuation of West Bengal students
stranded in Kota of Rajasthan and those students immediately got the relief.
23.
Due to efforts of RCC, many stranded persons from Rajasthan in West Bengal could
return back to their respective home towns.
24.
Successfully conducted many online meeting with state and national level
speakers.
25.
Distributed free Hand sanitizers to sections of the society.
26.
Helped other business organizations to provide ground level feedback.
27.
Successful drive of “No Mask No Sale" through stickers.
28.
Regular awareness on social distancing, wearing of masks & gloves,
cleanliness and proper sanitization.
29.
This Chamber felicitated “Corona Warriors"- Police personnel, Health
workers, Doctors, cleaners, Fire services, Power officials, an NGO who feed
stray animals and Press, for their exemplary services during this Corona period.
RCC Quick Response Team (QRT) is always ready for this noble cause of combating
with CORONA Virus thus contributing their best on 13th May.

Mukherjee was present as the representative of Mayor, Asansol, MIC Health,
DibyenduBhakat was present in the meeting. ACP Central, TathagataPandey,
Inspector in Charge, Raniganj, Sri Sanjay Chakraborty, IC from Punjabi More and
Ballavpur, Health In Charge for Corona, AMC, Dr.ShubhenduMaji of Asansol
Municipal Corporation, Dr. T K Ghoshal from Primary Health Center, Voiceless NGO
that provides Food to stray animals on the roads, Electric and Fire Department
Officers and Various Journalists from the media were present.

Raniganj Chamber Of Commerce organised Zoom meeting on 27th May, 2020
on the Topic: General Awareness & Cyber Security. Speakers were: 1. Sri
Sanjay Chakraborty, InspectorIn Charge, Raniganj, 2. Sri Sital Das, SI, Cyber
Cell, Asansol Durgapur Police Commissionerate.

Again organised Zoom meeting with FICCI on May 28, 2020 on the Topic:
“Challenges & Opportunities for Trade/ Industry Post COVID19”. Speaker:
Dr.SubhadaRao , Former Chief Economist of YES bank.

Raniganj Chamber of Commerce organise Zoom meeting on the Topic: "Myths
& Facts about COVID-19" on Jun 4, 2020. Speaker: Dr.BonapartChowdhury,
Medical Superintendent cum Vice Principal and Chief Operating Officer, Sanaka
Hospital, Durgapur.

Chamber Of Commerce donated a cheque of Rs. 2,11,000 on 7th June,2020
to CM Emergency Relief Fund, to fight against deadly coronavirus and for relief
measures of Amphan cyclone, handed to Sri JitendraTiwari, Mayor, AMC. Also
Rs.10, 000 was handed over to deceased CVPF's family. Corona-Kits were handed
over to Media personals. Respected Mayor was honoured with "Corona Super
Warrior".

An Extra Ordinary General Meeting was called on 10th June, 2020 to
appoint Board of Directors , which approval was given by member to decision
taken earlier in Executive Committee Meeting held on 30.05.2020 to decrease
annual subscriptions of General Members from Rs 2050 to Rs 1000 per year and
fully removal of Life Membership Charge of Rs 400 yearly.

Blood Donation Camp was organised on 11th June by Raniganj Chamber of
Commerce, In association with Marwari YuvaManch, Raniganj Branch and
AkhilBharatiya Marwari MahilaSammelan...Today..Project Chairpersons: Ruby
Gadhwala and ShatabdiAdhikary.Sri DibyenduBhagat, MIC, Health, AMC and officials
from Block Development Office ,Raniganj were present on the occasion. A memento
was also presented to NGO “Mission
Udaan Welfare Foundation” for the active role played during COVID-19.
