RCC ACTIVITIES SINCE 1ST April, 2021- March 2022

 

Railways

Many requests for improvement of Raniganj Railway station and implored for giving it all essential facilities befitting a model and heritage station.

Congratulated Eastern Railway for record –breaking sand loading of wagons. Congratulated Eastern Railway for transporting of oxygen tankers to various destination to help fight corona pandemic. Congratulated DRM for obtaining IGBC green Railway Platinum railing from CII. Invited both Gm, Eastern Railway and DRM, Asansol to visit RCC as well as to Station Master, Raniganj. Congratulated ShriArunArora, G.M. Eastern Railway on assuming the office.

Requested DRM,Asansol for full utilization of Topsi Goods shed. Congratulated ShriPramodSharma , DRM, Asansol on assuming the office. Made a request for an overnight superfast express from Asansol to New Delhi back on daily basis.Requested for the fast implementation of Kolkata Ludhiana East West Freight Corridor.Requested for resumption of MEMU services. Mass petition was submitted resumption of MEME ADL 3527/28.

 

Industry

Many requests were made for improvement of roads, inside Mangalpur Industrial Area. Also requested for proper lighting inside the area. RCC participated in online MSEM enclave on 15th July, 2021, organized by National Small Industries Corporation Ltd. Department of promotion of Industry and Internal Trade acknowledgement our suggestion through PM’s Office. Received thanks from ShriChandrakantSinha on our Congratulations. Made complaint to Land and Land Reforms and Refugee Relief and rehabilitation for regularization of mutation and conversion of Hark Industries.Requested for including RCC in the list of permanent invitees of West Bengal Industry Promotion Council Committee. Had a interactive session with Rajiv Sinha, Chairman, WBIDC at Nigha on 25th January, 2022.

 

Roads

Requested for widening and resurfacing of Majia-Mangalpur –Topsi-Pandewasar to Moregram stretch of NH-60.

Requested for installation of convex mirror at blind corners of flyovers at Mangalpur.Written many letters to authorities including DVC for urgent repairs to damaged bridge and road at Mejia across river Damodar which resulted in proper repairs.Similarly written for urgent repairs to Girija Para to Ranisayer stretch of NH-60. Many requests were made for repairs to service roads on both sides of NH-2 to East and West from Punjabi More. Requested for repairs to feeder roads to NH-2 from Bansara More on NH-2 was made.

 

Taxation

Wrote to Secretary, office of the GST Council secretrate regarding delay EGM generation by land customsstation at Sonauli on India Nepal Border.

 

Law and Order

RCC always appreciate good works and felicitated concerned officers of Raniganj Police.

Invited IC, Raniganj PS for felicitation meet at RCC. Also to OC Traffic Guard, Raniganj. Attended a co-ordination meetings to maintain law and Order during Ram Navami, Eid-ul-Fitre, Muharum, Durga Puja, NabiDiwas, MahabirAkhra, UrsMels, Holi,Eid and Sheb-a barat as requested by PS. Attended meeting for smooth running of Traffic in Raniganj. Received Guidelines from PS regularly Covid Protocol asking for Co-operation.

 

Banking

Received letter from ESAF small finance bank regarding their activities and location in Raniganj. Made represented RBI regarding many banks not issuing pass books and not updation then in time. Requested SBI and UBI, Raniganj Branch for supply of small denomination currency notes.Complained about shifting of currency chest from Raniganj to Durgapur. An annual Business meet was held by UCO Bank on 16th December, 2021. Complained to RBI about various inconsistent with banks at Raniganj. Complaint about non payment of full accrued interest by PNB was made.

Held a meeting of traders cum customer meet with SBI Raniganjon 1stSeptember. Complaint to RBI regarding delay on clearing of Cheque by Banks.Complaint to UCO Bank regarding rude and discourteous behavior.

Requested for priority at Senior Citizens to ICICI                and Bandhan Bank.Invited Banking ombudsman to RCC for interactive meeting with our members.Complained to UCO Bank about their attitude in not allowing customers to operate lockers, due to fears of Covid.Complained about closure of Canara Bank Branch at TDB College.

 

AMC

Requested for the demolishing of structure which is dangerous in Ward No. 34, 92, NSB Road and similar old structure. Requested for modernization and refurbishing of Borough II office building. Requested for cleaning of ponds in Rajabandh and Searsole and regaining encroached area and removing of structure there in. request made for setting up a vegetable market or northern side of Raniganj.

 

Post

 

Received the issue of non receipt of book post articles.Also about delay in payment of matured NSC.

 

Telephone/cell phone/internet

Service given by BSNL is below average. Always they repeat about cable faults. Internet services in Raniganj is very irregular.

 

Health

Requested CMOH/DM for vaccination of senior citizens and others against corona.Recommended many of membes and family membes for treatment at many affiliated hospitals. RCC kept itself abreast all development of the pandemic corona. Reminded affiliation to Vivekananda Hospital/AMRI Hopitals/Fortis Hospital/Gouri Devi Hospital/ B P Poddar Hospital/Shalby Hospital/R N Tagore International Institute, Medica Super Specialty Hospital EKO Cancer Centre, AMRI(Mukundpur)/Narayanya Memorial Hospital/The Health World Hospital among many. Specific complaint regarding treatment and bills were taken up with concerned Hospitals.

Organized a blood donation and health check up camp in association with the The Mission Hospital, Durgapur n 29/07/2021.Wrote to DM and CMOH about improving the condition of Ballavpur Rural Hospital.Conducted free medical check up camp at RCC in association with AMRI Hospital, Salt Lake on 26/09/2021.

 

ADDA

Provided Hish Mast LED Lighting near Wesleyen Methodist Church on NH-60 with other places in Jamuria and Mangalpur Industrial Estate. Our list of identified locations for public toilets was sent to ADDA.

 

Membership Drive

RCC maintained excellent drive to increase the membership achieved an increase of 195 new general members and 49 new life members from 1st April 2021 to 31st March 2022, an increase from 544 to 739 general members and from 370 to 419 life members.

 

Aviation

RCC was continuously requesting and demanding more flights to different destinations and for increase in frequency. Also for improving facilities at KNI Airports and its general appearance of roads and drives. Response from Bengal Aerotropolies was encouraging.

 

Electricity

Many complaints regarding disconnections of meter and non payment of security deposit received. Complaint regarding defective meters and inordinate delays in settling of claims received. Exorbitant bills are normal complaints. However, it is noticed that WBSEDCL is improving on settling of issues related to bills and energy meters.
